US domestic violence and crisis helplines
Free 24/7 helplines across the United States for abuse, sexual assault, trafficking, suicide and maternal mental health. Call or text.
These lines are free, confidential, and almost all of them run around the clock. Where one does not — the eating disorder helpline is weekday hours — that is stated rather than glossed over, so nobody reaches for it at three in the morning and finds nothing.
Several are text-first, which matters if speaking aloud is not safe where you are.
In an emergency, call 911 (Police, fire or ambulance).

love is respect
Dating abuse and unhealthy relationships, for teens and young adults — and for anyone worried about them.

None of these lines require you to have decided anything. You can call to think out loud, to ask what the options would be, or to find out what happens if you did report something. Nothing is set in motion by the call itself.
If immigration status is part of what is keeping you somewhere, VAWA lets you file for status yourself without your spouse being told. It is on the rights page.
